Subject: Obligating the shipping lines to use pallets

By virtue of customs law of the Gulf Countries Council issued by the Royal Decree No.67/2013 and the Decision No.8/2010 issued by the General Director of Customs of using the wooden and plastic pallets in shipping cargos.

We would like to notify that using such pallets will ease the process of loading and discharging cargoes from the containers.

Based on what mentioned above, kindly we would like you to announce that among all Shipping Companies to use pallets while shipping

Using the pallets will be activated by the 1st of May 2018.

This appears to be implemented effective 1st May and the circular says that it is based on AGCC Unified Customs Law.
