We would like to update you on the practical situation from a CargoGulf perspective.

a) The Local Ningbo government has asked all truck drivers to obtain a negative PCR test, which will allow the truck drivers to apply for the special permit to drive into the Beilun area, where the container port terminal of Ningbo is located. This is where the vessels are calling – not necessarily, where the empties are stored.
b) Our local information is that already about 6000 drivers have obtained these permits.
c) CargoGulf Ningbo Container Yards for storage of empty containers are all in non-affected areas. Repeat non affected. This means that shippers can pick up empty containers for export loading without any problems.
d) This applies for all our services ex the port of Ningbo. NAGE to Arabian Gulf,  and the MV GFS Perfect charter vessel ex Ningbo to Europe.
e) We have also released empty containers in Ningbo from our non affected CY\s to shippers, who have chosen to truck the laden containers to Shanghai or Taicang. We naturally co-operate with our clients wishes in such respects. 

We will keep you informed on a regular basis, and we also encourage you to  stay in touch with our agents in Shanghai/Ningbo : GAC. GAC will always be able to update you locally.

We fully appreciate that this is inconvenient, but this situation is beyond the control of CargoGulf, and any and all container operators are in the same situation.  So FOB shippers are encouraged to think ahead and load containers early to avoid last minute changes due to potential new directives from the Ningbo authorities.
